MapInfo® uses font names where MicroStation uses font numbers. To make the data conversion from font names to font numbers, the script uses variables such as MIF_FONT_xxx, where xxx is substituted with the MapInfo® font name.

Example: MIF_FONT_ARIAL = 20 MIF_FONT_COURIER_NEW = 23

Font 20 is used on MapInfo® text written with the Arial font, and font 23 is used on text written using Courier New.
